Meet Edward! From the foster home: Meet Edward! Edward or "Eddy" is a sweet and loving dog. He is a mellow fellow, hardly barks and seems to pick up quickly on commands. He loves to meet new people, and is good with kids. Eddy has the look of a puppy but keeps out of mischief and doesn't chew on anything! He's a truly beautiful dog, with amazing chocolate brown eyes with super soft black fur.
Edward knows the command "sit", and is working on others, including "stay" and "lie down." He doesn't love his crate, but he is used to it and knows the expectation. Eddy is house-trained, but may have an accident if in a new place or environment. Eddy would probably do best as the only dog or another dog his size or smaller with a non-aggressive disposition. He isn't a good housemate for cats - he loves to chase them!
Edward really is a nice dog who is NOT high-strung, aggressive, yippy or overly-excitable. Edward loves to eat, therefore, he will need exercise or daily walk to keep his weight in check. He would even make a good running partner (no marathon runners though please:) I can't stress enough how easy his disposition is and he really is low-maintenance. He is affectionate, sweet and has a gentle nature. He is a true gem!
When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
