UPDATE-

Ian is a three-year-old black-and-tan Min Pin with a docked tail and cropped ears, and he is all legs.  You’ll notice that when you see him run, which he loves to do in our backyard.  He weighs about 13 lbs., is very friendly with people, and is quite good with other dogs.  In fact, as I type this, he’s wrestling with our female Min Pin – Lily – and they are having a great time.  Ian found himself in a high-kill shelter and, while he is doing great here in our foster care, he really needs a “forever home”.  Now that Ian has been neutered, he is reliably house-trained, even around other male dogs.  He is also crate-trained and will enter his crate quite easily with just a little encouragement.  Ian was food aggressive with our other dogs when he first arrived at our foster home, but that was most likely because he’d been a stray and had to fight for every morsel of food he could find.  He has since proven he can wait his turn for treats, and eat his own food in comfort near our other dogs.  We feed all four of our dogs with some separation – about ten feet - to ensure there are no conflicts, and this method has proven to work quite effectively.   Ian has never been aggressive with people and we’ve tested that on him quite regularly, including during feeding time.  Ian is a great dog, and we’d highly recommend him to anyone, including families with young children.  Keep in mind it will be essential to teach your children how to properly interact with Ian – no pulling his ears, or his tail nubbin, or sticking your fingers in his eyes, etc.  When Ian is not being a little trickster and having his own fun at the expense of our other dogs, he is usually curled up next to my wife or me, sleeping soundly, thoroughly enjoying a dog’s life – and a better one now that he’s out of the high-kill shelter and headed to his forever home.  Ian is ready to meet you, and we hope you’re ready to meet him, too!  Please fill out an application as soon as possible so Ian can finally move to his “forever home”.
