Description:
Uriel is an all natural black and tan doberman pinscher who is about 1 year old and weights about 50 lbs. She is absolutely gorgeous! Her pictures don't do her justice. She has the softest, most beautiful coat of fur. Uriel is coming from a high kill shelter and we got her out in the nick of time. She is good with other dogs and loves people. She is playful and loves her toys. She is completely house trained and crate trained. Uriel does settle down nicely indoors. She can keep herself busy for hours just playing with her toys. Uriel would make an excellent obedience/agility student or possibly a running partner as she is very athletic and energetic. Uriel can fly over a baby gate in one graceful leap and we were told she can climb chain link fences. She has a 4.5 foot chain link fence at her foster home and she's never tried to go over it. She loves to run around in our yard and she loves to play in the snow. Her favorite game is fetch. She also likes to chase her tail unlike many Dobermans that don't have a tail to chase! Uriel is very well behaved, she rarely barks, and we believe she 's had some basic training. She can sit, stay, shake, lay down, and heel (this last command needs some practice). She rides wonderfully in the car and walks really good with a Gentle Leader. She has a natural talent for untangling herself whenever the leash wraps around her legs during our walks. Uriel is full of puppy energy and her ideal home would be with an active family willing to help her become the best dog she can be. She tends to get a bit mouthy during play, a behavior we are trying to discourage. We have already noticed an improvement. Ariel is young, beautiful, smart, well-behaved, and friendly. What more could you ask for? When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
