Quincy is a wonderful loving soul and laid back soul. He is a wonderful little clown who loves food, attention and cuddling. He has scars on his body that tell the story of a rough life, until now. He was rescued from a beagle hoarder. Now that he has been given rescue, his biggest hope is to find a loving home that will love him for being the great dog he is. 

Sadly, he was kept from food so much that when he first came to use he was a bit too interested in his food.  Now that he knows he will be provided with the food he needs, he has calmed down in this regard.  Regular walks, which he loves, and roaming around the back yard he has begun to slim him down from the initial weight he gained from being too concerned with food

I often lovingly refer to him as Snuffleupagus because when in the back yard he loves to explore!  He will have his nose to the ground taking in every different smell he can find making noises you would thing would come from Snuffleupagus. 

He is happy, his tail wags all the time. He wants to please, and if scolded he melts into a puddle on the floor. (Probably was abused in the past). He has been good with children who visit, but shy with people he doesn't know until he sees they won't harm him, which takes about 3 minutes. If the other dogs in the house are greeted well by visitors, he joins in.  He gets along with other dogs, but can be territorial about his favorite spot on the couch.  He loves, loves, loves to cuddle. He makes no attempt to get into bed with his human, he is content on a dog bed next to the bed. 

He is fine in the house alone, as long as food is not accessible.
