Radar is sweet boy who ADORES people of all ages. He loves nothing more than spending time with his people, particularly if physical or mental exercise is involved. If you’re looking for a canine partner to join you while jogging, biking, or hiking, this sweet boy would love to come along! Afterward, he’ll look forward to curling up at your feet and giving lots of kisses.

This sweetheart gets along well with children, but he’s “pawsy” when asking for attention. He doesn’t realize how sharp and strong his toenails can be, so a home with older children (13-years-old and up) would be best.

Radar is good with other dog friendly large dogs. Given his high prey-drive, cats and small dogs are not a fit for this boy. Radar alsy needs a fully-fenced yard because he LOVES to run.

Radar’s adorably floppy ears are the result of sad circumstances during puppyhood. Abandoned and left tied to a tree, he was vulnerable to the elements…and to flies. They bit his ears so badly that there’s permanent scarring. But Radar hasn’t let a bad start – or floppy ears - dampen his love for life. Can you help provide the happy ending to his story? Radar will happily offer years of love, loyalty, and kisses. He just needs a family to call his own.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
