Yay!!!! I am finally home for good. Thanks to my new mom and dad and my new brothers, Tucker and Chance!!
I am forever grateful!

Here is a note from my new mom:

This is my cute little Keenan. The sweet pup who was such a terrible dog for the foster home, so Cathie told her to bring him to me. Pretty nasty pup huh?
Debbie can they go on happy endings?

Keenan gets to gets to go to day care twice a week and he has been invited to every dogs birthday party at Woof Dah the day care place, cause everyone loves him.

How cool is that?

PART COUCH POTATO- PART SOCIAL BUTTERFLY!!

This 5 month old Gordon Setter/Rottie mix puppy will bring you plenty of JOY!

Meet Khenan!!!

Khenan is an awesome Gordon Setter puppy! He LOVES to curl up with anyone and and have his belly rubbed.

He is a well mannered puppy who is quirky, funny, mellow, with spurts of puppy play. He already knows some commands and listens better than most children. He is content to wait in his crate until you get home from work but his favorite place is right next to a human of any age.

Khenan is spunky and likes to check himself out in the mirror with an occasional growl and play bow.

He has never met a stranger, either four legged or two and cats don't phase him one bit.

He is respectful of older dogs, even our grouchy old lady German Shepherd doesn't mind his company.

Overall he is a pretty submissive fellow who also displays plenty of confidence. He is a very good fit for almost any household with kids who are respectful of animals.

Khenan loves to play with kids and is not rough, and is such a sweetheart. He is calm inside and out with bursts of energy after a nap. He is so agile!

So far, he hasn't balked at much of anything. He's a pretty tolerant little guy! He enjoyed his first bath. Didn't object to being brushed. Doesn't protect his food, toys or chewies. LOVES rawhide chewies. Rides well in the car. And best of all, he is so great at going potty outside - NO ACCIDENTS to report!

He is roughly 33 pounds and is sure to grow up to be a big, strong boy!

If you've been looking to add a boy like Khenan to your family- and give him a loving, INDOOR home for the rest of his life- then you're ready for the next step in our adoption process.

Simply fill out an adoption application and send it back to us so you can come and meet this great little guy!!

* Applications may be found on our website at www.midwestanimalrescue.org.

Thanks!

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters.

How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.

Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed.

If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
