Description:
Hi there!

I’m Kitty Kitty. I know kind of a generic name, but it's really the only name I like. Although I do guarantee you there is nothing else generic about me. My foster mom found me in an abandoned house where my previous owner left me to fend for myself for awhile. Boy was I glad to see her show up. I was cold, scared, and really hungry.

I was also a little scared when we first got to her house, being a new place and all, and there was another cat there and a big old dog too. After about a week we all became fast friends, but I like the dog better than the other cat if I’m being honest. Recently some of my foster mom's friends came to stay with us for a lil while, and they brought with them 2 more cats. Still like my dog better. He cuddles with me, plays with me, and protects me when I get scared. Never would I have guessed a Dalmatian would become my best friend.

I look a little different than other cats too. I am a little cross-eyed, I have a little scar on my right cheek, and I have extra toes on each and every paw. I think they make me even more special and unique compared to other cats.  I don’t really care for catnip, I know not typical for a cat either. Once in awhile it’s okay, but I would much rather have some of those tasty cat treats.

I love love love to have my belly rubbed! I will lay there for hours on my back for one of those, and I will give you kisses on your hand in return. My favorite toy is a string on a stick with a loofa fish on the end that my foster mom got at the dollar store. She bought me lots of other toys, but the only other things I really like to play with are strings and such. I like it best when you swing it in big circles so I can chase it, I am really fast.

I’m looking for my forever home. I promise I will love you and make you smile and laugh everyday like I do my foster mom. I will follow you around like my friend Otis and I do my foster mom. FYI, at first I may not like it if you try to pick me up a lot. Instead I prefer to come sit by you, or curl up on your lap, or snuggle next to you when I am ready. Once we get to know each other that will probably happen a lot, and don't be surprised if I try and talk you into a belly rub almost every time!

See you soon!

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters.

How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.

Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed.

If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
