Meet Khloe! Khloe recently made the trip up from Texas after being unclaimed in the shelter prior to the hurricane. This was part of an effort to help clear out the shelters in Texas to create room for the recently displaced dogs due to the huricane so they can hopefully be reunited with their owners. After a adjustment period into the foster home her true personality has started to show! This little girl is energetic, playful and smart. She is immediately friendly with all people and loves attention. She will follow you around and look up at you with her sweet eyes hoping for some love and attention. Khloe enjoys the dog park and enjoys playing with all sizes of dogs by playing chase, being chased and rolling around by herself or with other dogs. (She is so cute!) Khloe responds great to treats, loves to chew on a bone, play catch with a small tennis ball and is known to carry a toy or bone around in her mouth. Khloe is such a sweet girl and everyone that meets her falls in love. She is amazing with children and crawled right up on the foster parent’s 3 year old granddaughter’s lap and snuggled in to watch a movie and sleep! When her foster parents are relaxing, Khloe will lay up on your lap or as close to your body as she can get. She loves to put her head under your chin in your neck to feel wanted and secure. She is social and enjoys meeting new dogs and people in different social environments. She is a great passenger in the car! When walking on leash, she stays by your side but will on occasion venture forward to check out something of interest. Khloe is very content in a kennel all day, but may whine if she knows you are in the house and she is still in the kennel as she just wants to be by your side. This little girl is very sweet and looking for her loving forever!

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
